FULL RELEASE IN PDF

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's football team returns to Panther Field for a showdown against ninth ranked Wayne State for ODU's  Homecoming contest.

The Panthers will try to bounce back from a 35-13 setback at Ferris State last Saturday, a game in which ODU was outgained 617-274. The Bulldogs raced out to a 22-0 lead before ODU responded with a touchdown run from senior quarterback Jeremy Fudge and a late touchdown toss from Fudge to senior wide out Tyler Purcell. Ohio Dominican was led offensively by senior running back Mike Noffsinger, who rushed for 123 yards on 20 carries, while Purcell hauled in three passes and had a touchdown.

Defensively, sophomore defensive back Justin Bell had a career-high 10 tackles and his first interception, while junior corner Eisen Hardy and junior linebacker Kevin Guthrie both made 12 tackles. Senior linebacker Ricardo Thompson finished with 10 stops for the Panthers as well.

In the GLIAC, ODU continues to rank among the league leaders in several categories, most notable rushing offense (233.7 yards per game, third), punting (45.8 yards, first) and third down conversions (19-of-38, tied for second).
