COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After two weeks on the road, Ohio Dominican's football team returns to Panther Field for its Homecoming game against GLIAC foe Hillsdale College.
The Panthers enter Saturday's contest seeking their first victory of 2010, while the Chargers are ranked No. 9 in the latest AFCA Division II poll.
In the 45-6 setback to Michigan Tech last week, the Panthers offense was limited to 170 yards and converted just 2-of-10 third downs. Michigan Tech, which improved to 4-0 on the season, finished with 428 yards of offense and converted 8-of-14 third downs.
Jeremy Fudge, making his first start at quarterback, finished 16 of 26 passing for 130 yards and his first collegiate touchdown. Brandon Robinson caught four passes for 57 yards, and Mark Nichols had 35 yards rushing on nine carries.
Vincent Vasquez continued his strong start to his freshman year, recording a game-high 12 tackles, and Dan Grimsley made nine stops. Mark Markakis made six tackles, his first career interception and forced a fumble as well to help lead the defense.
Michigan Tech scored on its first three possessions and led 21-0 before the Panthers ran their ninth play on offense. The Huskies tacked on 24 more unanswered points in the second half.
ODU got on the board late as the Panthers covered 60 yards in eight plays, culminating in a 10 yard touchdown toss from Fudge to Mike Noffsinger.

THE SERIES
This is the first meeting between the two teams. Tiffin and Lake Erie are the lone two schools on the schedule the Panthers have faced prior to 2010.
