Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers defeat D'Youville with a score of 3-2 on Saturday, September 5th. The Panthers improved to 1-1-1 on the season with the win.
In the first half, the Panthers scored first in the 13th minute with a goal from Miguel Angel Santillan Camarero and an assist from Kaiden Koch. D'Youville scored shortly after with a penalty kick from Shawn Richardson. In the second half, the Panthers regained the lead with a goal from Maddux Camden, and the assist from Ean Encarnacion making the score 2-1. The Saints responded with another penalty kick goal in the 53rd minute. The final goal of the game to secure the win came from Keagen Daniels off an assist from Maddux Camden to bring the final score 3-2.
Even with the Panthers win, D'Youville outshot Ohio Dominican 17-5. The Saints also totaled six corner kicks while the Panthers had two, Goalkeeper Brandyn Bowden had eight saves during the game.Â
Securing their first win of the season, the Panthers look forward to conference play beginning this upcoming week. Ohio Dominican will stay at home and host Walsh on Tuesday, September 8th at 7:00pm at Panther Stadium.
