Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team began conference play at home against Walsh. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Continuing their home game streak, the Panthers hosted Walsh for their first conference match up. The teams had an even match of shots at 14 a piece. Walsh had six shots on goal, while Ohio Dominican had seven shots on goal. The Panthers scored an early goal in the first half by Kaiden Koch. In the second half, Maddux Camden scored the second goal of the game for Ohio Dominican. The Cavaliers were not going down without a fight as Aleksander Mimetic scored the first goal for Walsh in the 73rd minute. Just 12 minutes after Saul Tania tied up the game scoring Walsh's second goal.Â
Walsh tallied six corner kicks, while Ohio Dominican had four. Both teams fought hard as the Cavaliers had seven fouls, and the Panthers had ten.
With a tie in the game tonight, the Panthers overall record is now 1-1-2. Ohio Dominican hits the road this Thursday, September 10th for their first away game of the season. They will play Cedarville at 7:00pm at the Yellow Jacket Soccer Complex.
