Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers fall 2-0 to Cedarville at home on Saturday, September 12th.
The Panthers put up a hard fight against the Yellow Jackets, but fell short during the second half of the game. The first half was a defensive battle between the teams. Defenders Ashlyn Haeft, Lauren Becker, Avery Bowden, and Lucy Ewing put on a great defensive showing the whole game. It was a scoreless first half with eight shots from Cedarville, and two shots from the Panthers. During the second half, offense came alive for the Yellow Jackets with goals from Ella Webb and Becca Schulenburg.The Panthers could not find the back of the net with their three shots in the second half of the game. Cedarville had nine shots during the second half.Â
Goalkeeper Ashley Fancher had six saves. While Cedarville's goalkeeper had three saves. The teams were even in corner kicks with three a piece.
The Panthers look ahead to their next game at Ashland University on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30p.m.
