Columbus, Ohio - Ohio Dominican women's soccer fall on the road to nationally ranked No. 11 Ashland University.
The Panthers hit the road for a conference match up. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Ashland struck early with a goal from Ella Schneider in the ninth minute. A goal in the 27th minute from Tessa Blain gave the Eagles an early 2-0 lead. Offense on both side went quiet for a while until Ashland struck again in the 86th minute of the game bringing the final score to 3-0.Â
The Panthers had three shots, two on goal, while Ashland had 27 shots, nine on goal. Goalkeeper Ashley Fancher had six saves for the Panthers. Kayla Brandon, Ali Mathis, and Lucy Ewing took the three shots. Ashland led in corner kicks with ten, while Ohio Dominican had two corner kicks.Â
The Panthers played an aggressive game against the nationally ranked Eagles tallying eight fouls. The Ohio Dominican Panthers look to bounce back in another conference match up on Saturday, September 19th at 3:30 p.m at Panther Stadium.Â
