COLUMBUS, OH - For the first time since 2022, a member of the Ohio Dominican University women's basketball team has earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors, with Jazmyn Wheeler taking the reins.

In matchups against Ursuline College and University of Findlay, Wheeler shined, averaging 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game during a 2-0 week. She shot an impressive 65.2% (15-of-23) from the field while coming off the bench, recording nine rebounds against Ursuline and pouring in 19 points against Findlay.

The honor marks Wheeler's first career Athlete of the Week award and the first for ODU this season.

Serving as a key contributor off the bench, Wheeler has now posted nine double-digit scoring performances this season, solidifying her role as a dynamic sixth player for the Black and Gold. The Panthers and Wheeler now look ahead to four remaining conference regular-season games.
