ST. PETERSBURG, FLÂ - The Ohio Dominican volleyball team opened its 2025 season in St. Petersburg, Florida, competing in four games at the Eckerd Classic and finishing the weekend with a 2-2 record. Following strong performances at the net, seniors

Jenna Peters were named to the tournament's All-Tournament Team.Â
Jenna Peters delivered a standout performance, recording 53 kills across four matches — 14 against Bemidji State, 14 against Eckerd, 17 against Maryville, and 8 against UPR–Mayaguez. She totaled 57.5 points for the Panthers, averaging 2.94 kills per set with a .201 hitting percentage. Defensively, Peters added 16 digs and five blocks over the weekend.Â
Ashley Aselage dominated at the net defensively, leading the Panthers with 11 total blocks. She also contributed 43 kills — 11 vs. Bemidji State, 7 vs. Eckerd, 15 vs. Maryville, and 10 vs. UPR–Mayaguez — averaging 2.39 kills per set with a .171 hitting percentage. Aselage added 50.5 total points for her team across the weekend.Â
The Panthers remain on the road, traveling to Frostburg, Maryland, to face three non-conference opponents: Shippensburg, Frostburg State, and Pitt-Johnstown.Â
