ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team notched their best team finish at the regional level after 54 holes for the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional this week.
Battling 19 other teams from the Central and Midwest regions, the Panthers finished in a ninth place tie with a grand total of 877 (+25) for 54 holes. After a 303 in the first round, the Panthers tallied 4-over 288 and 2-over 286 in the final two rounds.
In the midst of the battle,
Yadhu Urs was in a spot to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship pending a playoff with Findlay's Luke Metzger. Urs made an eagle on the third playoff hole to advance over Metzger.
Urs becomes the third Panther to qualify for the National Championships.
Panthers Results
- Yadhu Urs: Tied for 4th place with a 2-under 211 after rounds of 1-over 72, 2-under 69 and 1-under 70
- Was tied for the team lead with nine birdies and led ODU with 39 pars
- Jeremiah Bane: Tied for 44th place at 8-over 221, shot 5-over 71, 1-over 72 and 2-over 73
- Bryce Cobb: Finished in a 66th place tie at 224 (+11) with 7-over 78, 1-over 72 and 3-over 74 for his three rounds
- Tyler Andersen & Jackson Parnell: Both finished tied for 72nd place, shooting 225 (+12)
- Andersen ended with an even par 71 after rounds of 8-over 79 and 4-over 75
- Joined Urs as the leader for birdies on the team (9)
- Parnell scored 6-over 77, 5-over 76 and 1-over 72 for the tournament
The NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships will take place May 19-23 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
