FLORENCE, Ind. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team made a splash in the 2025 Great Midwest Men's Golf Championship as they notched their best team finish since 2014, ending the stroke play portion in second place.
For the first time in the G-MAC era, the Panthers will play for a conference title as they will face the Findlay Oilers on Wednesday (April 23) in the medal match. Ohio Dominican sat second of 11 teams after a 36-hole total of 600 on Monday (April 21) with rounds of 299 (+15) and 301 (+17). In Tuesday's (April 22) final round, the Panthers shot 296 (+12) to end the event with a grand total of 896 (+44) and advance to the final medal play.
ODU had two eagles, 32 birdies and 138 pars as they ranked 2nd in eagles and birdies while sixth in pars.
Yadhu Urs led the Panthers and made the All-Conference Team with a fourth place finish, his third straight honor.
Panthers Results
- Yadhu Urs: Highest Panther finish with a 6-over 219 after rounds of 4-over 75, 3-over 74 and 1-under 70
- Led the Panthers with nine birdies (tied for third overall) and 31 pars (tied for 8th)
- Jeremiah Bane: 12th place finish, scoring 225 (+12) with three identical rounds of 4-over 75
- Notched one of two eagles for the Panthers in the tournament
- Tyler Andersen: Tied for 20th place, shooting 230 (+17) for 54-holes; had first day rounds of 4-over 75 and 3-over 74 with an 81 (+10) on day two
- Joined Bane with an eagle in the scorecards
- Jackson Parnell: Book ended a second round 83 (+12) with rounds of 3-over 74 to score 231 (+18) in 23rd place
- Bryce Cobb: Finished in a 24th place tie at 233 (+20) with a final round 6-over 77 and two 7-over 78 rounds
The medal match will tee off with the Oilers and Panthers pairing off starting at 8:00 AM.
