PAWLEY'S ISLAND, SC - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team began the Spring section of the schedule with a Spring Break trip to South Carolina.
Ohio Dominican scored 630 for the Pawley's Island Beach Bash at Litchfield Country Club during the two-day event on Wednesday (March 12) and Thursday (March 13). The first round saw ODU shoot a 310 before closing the event with a 320.
The Panthers finished tied for second place of nine teams with Gannon, nine strokes behind the tournament winner UIndy.
Panthers Results
- Caroline Tragesser: 2nd place in the individual standings, shooting a career-best 147 (+3) - school record first round with a 3-under 69 before ending with a 6-over 78
- Maria Briceno Vargas: 10th place overall with a 156 (+12) - tallied rounds of 5-over 77 and 7-over 79
- Ellyn Deibel: Tied for 18th place, scoring 163 (+19) with round scores of 82 and 9-over 81
- Sydney Devore: Tied for 22nd place, shooting identical rounds of 82 for a grand total of 164 (+20)
- Marissa Cline: As one of the individuals, tied for 22nd place - finished with 164 (+20) after rounds of 84 and 8-over 8
- Meg Saffell: Was tied for 38th place after two rounds of 88 equaling 176 (+32)
- Alana Miller: 45th in the standings with a 36-hole total of 181 (+37), shot 92 and 89, respectively in her rounds
- Brooklyn Numbers: 34th place with a career-best 36-hole total of 172 (+28), shot a career-low round of 82 after a first round 90
The Panthers will compete in the North Greenville Trailblazer Spring Invitational on March 24th and 25th back in South Carolina.
