INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team traveled to the Indiana capital on Thursday night to face the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds inside Nicoson Hall. After four quarters of play, the Panthers ultimately fell to the Greyhounds 75-59.

Junior forward Jenna Shackleford led ODU with 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists in 34 minutes of play. Freshman Gracie Cosgrove recorded 12 points, shooting 4-7 from the field, with two rebounds, while Mackenzie Hurd rounded out the top performers with 10 points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes.
Game Breakdown
The Panthers struggled early, scoring just eight points in the first quarter on 23.1% shooting. In contrast, UIndy put up 15 points and found success from deep, hitting three shots from beyond the arc. ODU found its rhythm in the second quarter, improving to 42.9% from the field and doubling their scoring output with 16 points. Despite the surge, the Greyhounds held a 32-24 lead heading into halftime.
The third quarter proved to be the turning point as UIndy outscored ODU 25-10. The Greyhounds increased their shooting efficiency to 53.3%, while the Panthers' percentage dipped to 25%.
ODU found its offensive stride in the final frame, scoring a game-high 25 points on 61.5% shooting from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. However, the late push wasn't enough to overcome the deficit as UIndy continued its strong shooting to close out the win, 75-59.
Overall, the Panthers finished the night shooting 38.5% from the field, 33.3% from the arc, and 66.7% from the free-throw line.
