PEPPER PIKE, OH -Â The Ohio Dominican volleyball team returned to action on the road at the Stano Athletic Center, cruising to a 3-0 sweep over Ursuline.
ODU dominated nearly every statistical category, hitting .350 as a team (54 kills, 13 errors on 117 attempts) compared to Ursuline's .094 (21 kills, 12 errors on 96 attempts). The Panthers also tallied 50 assists and 60 digs to the Arrows' 19 assists and 45 digs, while holding a 5-1 advantage in blocks.
Senior Jenna Peters led the way with 12 kills, adding 10 digs for a double-double. Middle hitter Grace Zinchuk contributed nine kills and three blocks. Libero Christen Tarter paced the defense with 15 digs, followed by Lauren Dinunzi with eight digs and an ace. Setter Saige Avery anchored the offense with 22 assists and one ace.
SET BREAKDOWN
The Panthers opened the first set with a 5-0 run and maintained control throughout, taking the frame 25-15.
In the second set, key kills from Aselage and Zinchuk helped ODU jump out to a 12-6 lead. A decisive six-point rally sealed another 25-15 win.
In the final set, ODU built a 17-12 advantage before Ursuline mounted a brief five-point rally. The Panthers responded with poise, closing out the sweep with a 25-19 victory—securing their 21st win of the season.
