COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team returned to Columbus and dominated Ohio Christian University, 98–51.
Freshman Gracie Cosgrove led ODU for the first time in her career, posting 16 points, five assists, and shooting 5–8 from three. Senior Macy Chapman added 14 points, three steals, three assists, and went 5–8 from the field in just 16 minutes. Freshman Eve Schwemley joined them in double figures with 11 points on 4–5 shooting and three rebounds, while Sarah Ochs and Jazmyn Wheeler each contributed 10 points.
The Panthers shot 52.9% from the field (36–68) and 42.9% from three (9–21). They knocked down 17 of 23 free throws and dominated the paint with 52 points, turning OCU's mistakes into 30 points. The bench also delivered a strong performance, combining for 50 points.
ODU came out blazing with 35 first-quarter points, shooting 73.7% from the field and 66.7% from deep, including six made threes. The second quarter cooled off (8–21 FG, 1–5 3FG), but the Panthers still took a commanding 52–27 lead into halftime with steady defensive pressure.
In the second half, ODU shot 35.7% from the field but remained consistent at the line (75%) and held OCU to just 14 third-quarter points while scoring 22 of their own. The Panthers closed strong with a 24–10 fourth quarter, shooting 64.3% (9–14), 2–4 from three, and a perfect 4–4 at the stripe.
