COLUMBUS, OH - In a midweek G-MAC matchup, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team closed out its home schedule at Panther Stadium with a 1-0 win over the Ursuline Arrows. The victory marks ODU's third of the season.
The first half featured an even battle between the two sides. The Panthers recorded four shots, three of which were on goal, while the Arrows tallied three shots with two on target. ODU also held a slight advantage in corner kicks, 4-3.
The breakthrough came in the second half when Kerinne Mueller sent a cross-field assist to Madeline Hartke, who finished with a right-footed touch to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. ODU dominated the offensive chances in the second period, adding nine more shots to Ursuline's one. The Panthers finished with 13 total shots—five on goal—with Hartke's goal proving to be the difference.
