COLUMBUS, Ohio - On Saturday night, the Ohio Dominican volleyball team hosted Northwood for their second home match and Alumni Day. In a nail-biter, the Panthers came up just short to the Timberwolves, 3-2.
For the Black and Gold, Jenna Peters was on fire at the net with 21 total kills and seven blocks. Behind her was Ashley Chmielewski with 14 kills. Grace Zinchuk also played strong at the net, securing 10 kills and six blocks.Â
Setter Saige Avery had herself a night with 49 assists, 11 digs and three aces. Libero Christen Tarter secured herself 21 digs and two assists.Â
How it happenedÂ
Northwood came out strong in the first set, leading 11-6. With a little momentum from ODU but not enough, the Timberwolves won the first set 25-20. Ohio Dominican answered back in the second set, snagging the last few points, winning 25-22. Â
In similar fashion, ODU brought a strong offense at the net, winning set three, 25-20. Northwood didn't back down from the 2-1 deficit.

Late in the fourth set, the Timberwolves surged passed the Panthers to snag the last points in a close one, 25-22. In a final five set, the score remained even until the 12th point. To secure the match win, Northwood grabbed the last three points, winning 15-12. Â
