COLUMBUS, Ohio - The ladies of the Ohio Dominican soccer team hosted the Cavaliers of Walsh last night to open up G-MAC play for the season. Â
In a back-and-forth draw, the Panthers settled with the Cavaliers 2-2 after 90 minutes of play. Â
ODU fired off the first goal with a corner kick that ended up in the box by sophomore Riley Arnold at the 20th minute. Â
In a quick three passes and 30 seconds later, Walsh answered back with an equalizer goal by Kailey Hobart, assisted by Hannah Stein and Jamie Duskey in the middle of the 20th minute. Â
With an answer from the Panthers, freshman forward Kerinne Mueller connected a goal into the top right of the box to secure the lead at the 34th minute, making it 2-1 at half.Â
To start the second half, the Cavaliers came back with a sneaky goal from Jamie Duskey, assisted by Kailey Duskey at the 52nd minute. After 90 minutes, Walsh produced 25 total shots, 12 being shots on goal. Â
The Panthers had five total shots, two being on goal. Goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney had herself a night in the net by collecting 10 saves, allowing only two goals. Â
