CARMEL, Ind. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team rounded out the 2024 NCAA East Regional with the final round of 18 holes on Wednesday (May 8) at Prairie View Golf Club.
Ohio Dominican improved to 12th place as a team after shooting 318 on Wednesday. With rounds of 332, 330 and 318, ODU compiled a 980 over 54 holes. The team made 130 pars and 13 birdies.
Caroline Tragesser (Murrysville, Pennsylvania) led the Panthers with a 5-over 77 in the final round. She was tied for 41st place with a 240 (+24) total. With 12 pars in the round, Tragesser was tied for the team lead with 30 pars. Her only birdie came on the par-4 ninth hole.
Abbey Dillon (Bolivar, Ohio) had her lowest round of the tournament with a 6-over 78 on Wednesday. Her 54-hole total of 248 (+32) put her in a 56th place tie. Her 12 pars gave her 30 pars in the tournament, tied with Tragesser. She birdied on the par-5 seventh hole in the third round.
Meg Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) tallied an 80 as her best round of the tournament, totaling 250 (+34) in 61st place. She had eight pars and three birdies in the third round, giving her 23 pars and six birdies - a team-best. Her 250 tied a career-low for 54 holes.
Ana Reed (Denton, Texas) had a 83 for the final round, finishing one stroke behind Saffell at 251 (+35) in 62nd place. With seven pars and a birdie on hole #18, she had 27 pars and four birdies overall.
Sydney Devore (New Philadelphia, Ohio) ended with an 86, tying her first round score and finishing at 254 (+38). Her ten pars in the third round put her at 26 total in 54 holes.
