CARMEL, Ind. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team opened play at the 2024 NCAA East Regional on Monday (May 6) at Prairie View Golf Club. 

The Panthers were slotted 12th of 15 teams after the first round. ODU shot 332 (+44) in the opening 18 holes. 

Abbey Dillon (Bolivar, Ohio) was the highest Panther in the first round leaderboard with a 7-over 79 in a tie for 26th place. Dillon made 12 pars in her round with five bogeys. 

Meg Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) shot 83 (+11) for her opening round as she is tied for 51st place. She led the Panthers with two birdies and made six pars. 

Caroline Tragesser (Murrysville, Pennsylvania) finished one stroke behind her teammate at 84 (+12). She was tied for 57th place as she notched seven pars. 

Sydney Devore (New Philadelphia, Ohio) and Ana Reed (Denton, Texas) tied each other with an 86 (+14) round. They are in a tie for 66th place. 

Round two begins on Tuesday (May 7) morning.
