GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan - Ohio Dominican's women's basketball team secured an impressive 53-46 win over Davenport in their debut weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a tight battle with the GILAC opponent.

Gabby Stare, a graduate student, led the Panthers with 16 points, shooting 7-15 from the field and adding seven rebounds.

Ohio Dominican's offense was balanced, scoring 34 points in the paint and benefiting from solid bench contributions (18 bench points). As a team, ODU shot 35.2% from the field and an impressive 77.8% from the free-throw line, including 85.7% in the fourth quarter, which helped seal the victory.
The game started off rough for Ohio Dominican, as they struggled in the first quarter, falling behind 21-6. However, the Panthers turned the tide in the second quarter, holding Davenport to just five points while scoring 16 of their own to cut the lead to 26-22 at halftime.
In the second half, ODU continued their strong play. They outscored Davenport 15-10 in the third quarter, taking a one-point lead into the final period. The final quarter saw Ohio Dominican outscore Davenport 16-10, ultimately clinching the win, 53-46.
