CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers faced a tough match against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets, suffering a 3-0 defeat in their second meeting.

Despite the loss, senior Lauren Lucas shone brightly for ODU, leading the team with 13 kills, while Jenna Peters added eight kills and three blocks. Bailey Christiansen made an impact defensively, contributing four blocks, and setter Saige Avery notched 22 assists alongside five digs. 

The match began with Cedarville taking an early 4-1 lead, but the Panthers rallied to tie it at 10-10. However, Cedarville surged ahead again, ultimately winning the first set 25-21.

The Yellow Jackets dominated the second set, establishing a 12-6 lead and closing it out at 25-15. 

The third set was a nail-biter, with both teams trading points closely. Cedarville initially led 12-10, but ODU fought back to tie it at 17-17 and again at 23-23. The Panthers even took a brief lead at 25-24, but a service error allowed Cedarville to tie it again at 27-27. The set ended in dramatic fashion, with Cedarville claiming it 31-29, despite 16 tie scores throughout the set.
