JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Following a three week break off the course, the Ohio Dominican Panthers competed in the Sunnehanna Collegiate on Monday (Sept. 30) and Tuesday (Oct. 1).
The Panthers shot back-to-back rounds of 291 in the two-round event, held at the Sunnehanna Country Club. Ohio Dominican was 22 strokes over par, slotting third of 16 teams in the tournament hosted by Pitt-Johnstown.
ODU made 108 pars and 22 birdies, tying for third place.
Senior
Yadhu Urs led the Panthers in the event with a pair of 1-over 71 rounds, tallying a 142 overall score. Urs finished tied for fifth place and counted six birdies in the event.
Graduate student
Jackson Parnell shot 5-over 75 in the opening round and followed it up with an even-par 70 in the second round. With a 145, Parnell was tied for 16th place. He tied with his teammate Andersen with five birdies.
Senior
Jeremiah Bane started the event with an even-par 70 and finished the tournament with a 7-over 77, giving him a 147 total in a 21st place tie.
Senior
Tyler Andersen was tied for 34th place in the tournament, totaling 149 (+9). Andersen scored 5-over 75 and 4-over 74 in his two rounds on the course.
Junior
Nash Linder tied with his teammate Andersen in 34th place as an individual. Linder's first round was a 6-over 76 and then shaved three strokes off in round two, going with a 3-over 73.
Graduate student
Jack Lindgren rounded out the Panthers in the lineup. Lindgren got consecutive rounds of 6-over 76, giving him a 47th place finish at 152 (+12). Linder and Lindgren each had four birdies in the tournament.
Ohio Dominican will compete at the Tiffin Kyle Ryman Memorial next Monday (Oct. 7) and Tuesday (Oct. 8) at Mohawk Golf Club.
