COLUMBUS, Ohio – Regional contests continue for the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team as they hit the road for the first time this year. The Black and Gold will travel to St. Louis, Missouri to take on the University of Missouri – St. Louis Tritons and the Maryville University Saints this weekend.
The Panthers are coming off a 1-0-1 opening weekend. ODU defeated West Virginia State, 1-0, last Thursday and drew with Indianapolis, 1-1, last Saturday.

Junior
Devin Schoenberger (Redondo Beach, Calif.) registered her first goal of the season in the opening game. Fellow teammate
Bailey Sedlak (Bellbrook, Ohio) added her goal on Saturday afternoon. The senior last scored in the 2021 fall season due to an injury her junior year.
Splitting time between the posts was seniors
Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) and
Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio). McNerney started both contests with Grady playing the second halves. McNerney netted five saves and a 1-0 record with Grady grabbing six saves and a 0-0-1 record.
About Missouri – St. Louis
The Tritons are 1-0-1 after opening weekend, picking up a draw against Northwest Missouri State and a win against Washburn.
Junior Jaycee Cotton leads UMSL with two goals on three shots. Three other players recorded goals over the weekend with six players snagging assists, led by freshman Taylor Martin, with two. Sophomore keeper, Mary Kate Neal, has allowed three goals while collecting seven saves.
Ohio Dominican and Missouri – St. Louis have not faced off within the Division II Era. The Panthers and the Tritons meet for the first time on Thursday evening.
About Maryville
The Saints enter the second week of the season with a 0-1-1 mark. MU lost to #6 Ferris State, 2-0, and picked up a draw with #8 Grand Valley State, 1-1.
Sophomore Elsa Nilson-Hurtig scored against Grand Valley with an assist from Ashlyne Hunt. Fellow sophomore, Gigi Yurevich, allowed three goals between the posts, picking up six saves in the process.
Ohio Dominican and Maryville will meet for the first time within the Division II Era on Saturday afternoon. The Saints face the #23 ranked Yellow Jackets of Cedarville on Thursday evening before meeting the Panthers.
