Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team finished their 2026 season with a loss against Tiffin 2-1 on Tuesday, October 27th.
The Panthers had high hopes heading into the match looking to steal a game from the Dragons. Ohio Dominican's Emma French was quick to score in the 11th minute of the match, which was assisted by Madeline Hartke. The Panthers had thirteen shots in the game, seven of which were on goal, but two goals from Tiffin led to a Dragons win. Tiffin's Dani Garner scored in the 18th minutes and Callie Cacchione scored in the 68th minute for Tiffin bringing the final score 2-1. The Panthers battled hard tallying 10 fouls, and the Dragons had 14.Â
Although their season may not have ended with a win on the field, it ended with many wins off the field as there were many moments of growth for the girls throughout the season. With many young players on the field this season, the future for Panther soccer is bright, and the seniors will be missed. The team will rest and recover in the off season and look ahead to the 2027 season as they will surely make some noise in the G-MAC.Â
