MIDLAND, Mich. – On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team traveled north to Michigan to take on the Timberwolves of Northwood. The Timbies downed the Panthers, 2-0.
NU took the first shot in the 15
th minute, shortly followed by a shot form
Devin Schoenberger (Redondo Beach, Cali.) in the 17
th minute. The Timberwolves got on the board in the 27
th minute, taking a 1-0 lead. Before the intermission,
Mallory Smucker (Toledo, Ohio) fired off her first shot, resulting in a save for the Timbies keeper.
In the 48
th minute, Northwood took a 2-0 lead over the Panthers. In the 73
rd minute,
Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) grabbed back-to-back saves to keep the ODU deficit at two. The Black and Gold let off three more shots in the second half but couldn't find the back of the net, resulting in a 2-0 loss to the Timberwolves.
