Women's Soccer Welcomes Oilers Then Travel to Timberwolves Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team returns to home for another midweek matchup on Wednesday evening before taking another trip to end the weekend. The Panthers will host the Oilers of Findlay and travel to Northwood University to take on the Timberwolves.

The Black and Gold are 2-2-3 overall and an even 1-1-1 in conference play. Most recently, ODU drew with the Saints of Thomas More on Wednesday, 4-4, and fell to the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville, 1-0, on Saturday.

About Ohio Dominican
In the 4-4 draw to Thomas More, four different players scored, marking eight different scorers on the season for the Panthers. Alex Garver (Springboro, Ohio) and Carmen Morris (Lancaster, Ohio) picked up their first goals of the season with Mallory Smucker (Toledo, Ohio) and Roisin Kennedy (Delaware, Ohio) snagging their first goals of their career.

During the week, Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) added five saves to her season total and has the fifth best GAA in the conference with a 1.131. Fellow goalkeeper, Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) recorded four saves.

About Findlay
The Oilers are 2-3-2 this fall and 2-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Last week, Findlay picked up two shutouts, defeating Tiffin, 2-0, and Thomas More, 3-0.

Senior, Hannah Rybicki, leads the Oilers and is tied for first in the conference with four goals on the season. The Midfielder also added an assists against the Saints. Goalkeeper, Kennedy Slovak, has appeared in seven games, collecting 12 saves, two shutouts, and a 0.87 GAA.

Dating back to 2010, the Black and Gold hold a 9-6-3 record over the Orange and Black with a 0-0 draw coming in the last meeting in 2022. Before that, Findlay beat Ohio Dominican, 3-2, stopping ODU's two game win streak over

About Northwood
In their second year in the G-MAC, the Timberwolves are 4-2-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the conference. Last Thursday, Northwood defeated Ky. Wesleyan, 2-1, and drew with Trevecca Nazarene, 1-1.

Leading the conference in shots (24), shots on goal (14), and tied for first in goals (4) is Juliana Paoletti. Paoletti is 1-1 in penalty kicks and adds an assist. Following her is Josie Nash, Carly Boyd, and Mia Thomson with two goals each. Freshman keeper, Lindsay Jacob, leads the G-MAC with 38 saves.

The Panthers are 9-3-1 over the Timbies in the Division II Era with NU winning the last three meetings. Prior to 2019, won seven in a row from 2013 to 2018. Northwood hosts Tiffin on Wednesday before welcoming Ohio Dominican on Saturday.

Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM on Wednesday at Panther Stadium and 3:00 PM on Saturday at Dean Soccer Field in Michigan.
