Men's Soccer Snags First G-MAC Win In Final Seconds

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team played their sixth home game in a row, hosting Thomas More for the first time in Division II history. The Panthers brought it down to the wire but pulled out their first conference win, 1-0.

The Black and Gold started strong firing off five shots in the first 13 minutes, including a shot on goal form Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi). With the momentum, Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio) collected a shot in the 19th minute, resulting in another save for the Saints keeper.

Both Jack Jenkins (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and Veron Fongeh (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) joined the party with shots in the 25th and 44th minute, giving the opposing goalie two more saves before the break.

In the second half, senior Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) snagged his first save of the night. Pulles added another save in the 76th minute, keeping it scoreless. In the final minute of the match, freshman Ean Encarnacion (Delaware, Ohio) played it up to Mamadou who sank it in the back of the net, resulting in a 1-0 win for the Black and Gold.
