CU Hands ODU First Conference Loss

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hit the road for the first time this fall, traveling to Cedarville University for a game under the lights. The Panthers and the Yellow Jackets remained scoreless at the break, with Cedarville sealing the game in the second half, 1-0.

The Yellow Jackets took the first shot in the 5th minute, giving sophomore Gannon Graf (North Olmsted, Ohio) his first save of the night. Roles reversed a few minutes later with Amadou Mamadou (Columbus, Ohio) and Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi) firing off two shots on target.

The Panthers fired off three more shots in the first half, all missing the mark, leaving the match scoreless at the break.

In the second half, Graf snagged two more saves in the 57th and 60th minutes before Cedarville connected with the back of the net in the 63rd minute, taking a 1-0 lead. Graf grabbed another save and Mamadou let off another shot, but the Black and Gold remained behind, dropping the match 1-0.
