COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team plays host for the sixth time in a row before hitting the road for the first time this fall. The Panthers with welcome Thomas More on Wednesday night and travel to Cedarville on Saturday night.
The Black and Gold are still seeking their first win of the season as they are 0-2-3 overall and 0-0-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. ODU has picked up three points in the conference with three consecutive draws with Trevecca Nazarene, Malone, and Findlay.

Against the Pioneers, senior
Jacob Gruber (Westerville, Ohio) snagged his first score of the season off a free kick opportunity. Fellow senior,
Mohamed Sheik (Columbus, Ohio) added his first goal of the fall on Saturday.
Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi) collected his second goal in the 44
th minute against the Oilers off a pass from
Jack Jenkins (Canal Winchester, Ohio).
With two assists under his belt in his sophomore year, Jenkins connected with the back of the net for the first time this year in the 58
th minute on Saturday off a double assist from
Evan French (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and
Ean Encarnacion (Delaware, Ohio).
In the goal, sophomore
Gannon Graf (North Olmsted, Ohio) notched his first career start against Malone. Graf recorded five saves, allowing only one goal. Against Findlay, senior
Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) grabbed a career high of 11 saves, all coming in the second half. Pulles is tied for second in the conference in total saves.
About Thomas More
The Saints are 3-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the conference. TMU picked up a 3-3 draw at Ky. Wesleyan last Wednesday while recording their first conference win against Trevecca Nazarene this past weekend.
Both Julen van Egmond and Ali Nakhid have score two goals while Egmond has added two assists as well. Sophomore goalkeeper, Emilio Benmergui Rodriguez, is tied with Pulles in the conference with 21 total saves. Rodriguez is also second in shutouts with two.
Thomas More and Ohio Dominican will meet for the first time in program history on Wednesday in Panther Stadium.
About Cedarville
The Yellow Jackets are 4-1-1 overall and post a G-MAC mark of 1-0-1. Cedarville picked up a 0-0 draw with Findlay and defeated Northwood, 2-0, last week.
Jackson Isaacs and Alex Long lead the team with three goals apiece. They each have an assist as well. Long is tied for first with two game winning goals. Junior Michael Catanzarite is tied for second in the conference with three assists this fall. Goalkeeper Jabari Gray was chosen as Defensive Athlete of the Week in the conference after collecting two shutouts last weekend, marking his fourth of the season.
The yellow jackets hold an 8-3-2 mark against the Panthers in the Division II Era. Cedarville has won the last two contests with Ohio Dominican defeating them in the semifinals of the 2021 G-MAC Tournament.
Game Times
The Black and Gold will kick off against the Saints at 7:30 PM at Panther Stadium on Wednesday. On Saturday, game time is set for 7:00 PM at Yellow Jacket Sports Complex.
