NORMAN, Okla. - The 2022-23 GCAA All-America Scholars for NCAA Division II were announced on Wednesday (August 9). Overall, there were 214 Division II athletes from 80 schools on the list.
Four members of the Ohio Dominican men's golf were named GCAA All-America Scholars after the 2022-23 academic year. Graduate students
Brett Coughlin (Washington, Illinois) and
Mack Cushman (Mechanicsburg, Ohio) along with senior
Jacob Brownley (West Chester, Ohio) and sophomore
Yadhu Urs (Castries, Saint Lucia) were among the ones honored.
Brownley and Cushman are now three-time All-America Scholars while Coughlin is earning his second honor. Urs is a first-time recipient of the GCAA All-America Scholar award.
To be eligible for a GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
