The Vulcans added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth, closing the gap to 10-4.Â
Ohio Dominican finished the scoring with a run in each of the seventh and eighth inning. Nail brought Silva home after he doubled in the beginning of the seventh inning. Two hit batters and a walk loaded the bags in the eighth as a wild pitch scored the last run of the day at 12-4.Â

He allowed nine hits and two hit batters while striking out three. Chase Hunt (Ashland, Ohio) earned a three-inning save with three shutout innings. He scattered two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.Â
