Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team hosted the top-ranked Ashland Eagles to close out the weekend. A strong second half from the Eagles pushed them past the Panthers, 99-57.
Box Score Notes
- Junior Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) led the way with 23 points going 10-24 from the field. Stare added three rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
- Freshman Sarah Ochs (Beavercreek, Ohio) went 4-4 from the charity stripe netting 11 points. The guard dished out five assists.
- Fellow Freshman, Logan Pride (Twinsburg, Ohio) led the way on the glass with six rebounds.
- Macy Chapman (Hilliard, Ohio) added six points, three rebounds, and two steals.
How It Happened
- The Eagles started fast and strong with a 19-0 run with 3:17 remaining in the opening quarter. Stare scored first for the Black and Gold. Ashland grew their lead to 25-7 to end the quarter.
- The Panthers began the second period with back-to-back layups from Stare and Pride. The Black and Gold then went on a 7-0 run to cut into their deficit, making it 31-18 with 4:05 remaining. ODU went into the break on an 8-2 run, trailing 11 at the intermission, 37-26.
- AU came out of the halftime break with a 12-2 scoring swing, growing their lead to 21 with 6:05 remaining. Stare had eight of the team's 16 points to enter the final period down 69-42.
- The Eagles outscored the Black and Gold 30-15 to take the game 99-57.
