CANTON, Ohio – On Friday evening, the Ohio Dominican volleyball team traveled to Malone University to take on the Pioneers for the first time this season. The Black and Gold defeated the Blue and Red in three sets, collecting their fourth consecutive sweep.

- Three different players netted 10 kills on the night including Lauren Lucas (Grove City, Ohio), Jenna Peters (Vermilion, Ohio), and Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio). Lucas added five digs. Peters recorded three digs and two blocks. Aselage collected two digs and three blocks.
- The Panthers registered 43 team digs with Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) leading the way with nine. Following her was Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) with eight and Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) with seven.
- Kirker led the team with 14 assists and two service aces. Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) followed with 10 assists and six digs. At the net, Ava Horn (Whitehouse, Ohio) led with four blocks and two service aces.
How It Happened
- The Black and Gold ran out to an early 8-4 lead before going on a 4-0 run to extend their lead to 13-7. The Pioneers rallied themselves, bringing it within two but the Panthers prevailed, taking the opening set 25-18.
- The two traded points to begin the second set. ODU shortly grabbed five consecutive points, taking a 12-9 lead. Ohio Dominican doubled their lead with an 8-0 run, making it 20-10. Kills from Peters and Macie Bowden (Selma, Ind.) secured the second set, 25-12.
- Once again, the Black and Gold jumped out to an early lead, going on multiple runs to make it 12-6. Malone tried to rally but couldn't overcome the Panthers' offense as they ended the set on an 8-1 run, winning it 25-14, and the game, 3-0.
