Box Score ASHLAND, Ohio – On Tuesday evening, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team traveled to #2 Ashland University to wrap up the regular season schedule. The Panthers dropped their final match, 2-0, to the Eagles.
The Purple and Gold fired off the first shot in the 8
th minute, missing high. Freshman
Roisin Kennedy (Delaware, Ohio) answered with a shot of her own in the 12
th minute, resulting in a save for Ashland's keeper. The Eagles continued with the momentum on the offensive end, outshooting the Panthers 10 to four in the half. Despite senior goalkeeper,
Jadelyn McNeryney (Springboro, Ohio), grabbing three saves, Ashland snuck one past her in the 32
nd minute, taking a 1-0 lead at the half.
In the second half, AU continued the pressure, forcing ODU keeper
Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) to snag her first save in the 52
nd minute. A few minutes later, the Eagles extended their lead to 2-0. Grady added two more saves in the 58
th minute and the 66
th minute.
Ohio Dominican registered their first and only shots of the second half in the final two minutes.
Carly Cushing (Parma Heights, Ohio) and
Margo Roberts (Erlanger, Ky. ) tried to put the Panthers on the board but were blocked, leaving the score 2-0 at the final whistle.
