COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team honored their seven seniors before their last regular season home match against the Arrows of Ursuline. The Panthers and the Arrows drew, 0-0, after 90 minutes of play.
The Black and Gold started the contest with consecutive shots from
Alex Garver (Springboro, Ohio) and
Bailey Sedlak (Bellbrook, Ohio) in the opening three minutes. Sedlak added another shot in the 10
th minute before
Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) grabbed her first save in the 14
th minute.
ODU continued to pressure on the offensive end, adding three shots to UC's one. Junior
Devin Schoenberger (Redondo Beach, Calif.) accounted for two of those shots. Grady snagged another save to leave the match scoreless at the intermission.
Once again, Ohio Dominican began the second half with three shots before Ursuline took their first one, resulting in a save for senior
Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio). Â The Black and Gold took control, outshooting the Arrows 10 to five in the last 45 minutes. McNerney added another save, leaving the contest scoreless.
The Panthers picked up a conference point, securing their spot in the postseason tournament.
