NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team took a short trip to North Canton to take on the Cavaliers of Walsh University. The Black and Gold drew with the Maroon and Gold, 1-1, after 90 minutes of play.
Sophomore
Raegen Kinne (Strongsville, Ohio) fired off the first shot in the 3
rd minute. The Cavaliers followed up with three shots of their own in the 7
th minute, resulting in one save for
Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) and a goal for WU.
In the 22
nd minute,
Roisin Kennedy (Delaware, Ohio) netted her third goal of the season to tie it up at 1-all. The Panthers fired off three more shots with Grady added another save before the intermission to leave it even.
In the second half,
Meghan Coakley (Sylvania, Ohio) and
Kate Kodger (Hilliard, Ohio) recorded shots in the opening ten minutes. The Black and Gold outshot the Cavaliers nine to four in the second half. Senior
Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) snagged a save in the 82
nd minute to keep the match tied.
