Pulles Honored Before 3-3 Draw With KWC

COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Thursday evening, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team hosted Ky. Wesleyan for the bottom end of the doubleheader. The Black and Gold trailed early but dominated in the second half to finish with a 3-3 draw.

Freshman Evan Reppeto (South Lebanon, Ohio) got it started in the 6th minute with his first shot of the night, missing high. Ky. Wesleyan followed with three shots and three corner kicks before finding the back of the net in the 18th minute to go ahead, 1-0.

KWC grew their lead to 2-0 in the 23rd minute. A trio of Panthers fired off shots in the closing minutes of the half, missing the mark to leave ODU down 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Reppeto sent a corner kick into the box, resulting in a header goal for Brad Leonard (Westerville, Ohio) to make it 2-1. Senior Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) snagged his first save of the night in the 51st minute off a KWC shot. In the 65th minute, Leonard netted his second goal off a ricochet from Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi), giving him an assist.

The Black and Gold pulled ahead in the 790th minute after Jace Houck (Tipp. City, Ohio) recorded his first career goal off a free kick pass from Jacob Gruber (Westerville, Ohio). The Purple Panthers added their third goal in the 85th minute, tying it at 3-all. Neither team saw another opportunity, leaving the match tied, 3-3.
