Bane Shoots 66 at Davenport Fall Invitational

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team wrapped up the Fall portion of the schedule with the Davenport Panther Invitational this weekend on Saturday (Oct. 14) and Sunday (Oct. 15) at Stoatin Brae Golf Club. 

Ohio Dominican improved from a first round 308 to a 3-over 287 in the second round to finish with a 595 in fourth place. The 287 was the fourth lowest score in program history. 

Junior Jeremiah Bane (Grove City, Ohio) led the Panthers in third place with an even-par 142 total. After a 76 on day one, Bane scored a 5-under 66 on Sunday to jump 15 spots. Bane's 66 was tied for the third lowest single round in program history. He tallied eight birdies in the event with seven coming in his low round. 

Junior Yadhu Urs (Castries, Saint Lucia) followed Bane in a fourth-place tie. Urs finished 3-over 145 for 36 holes. Urs shot 74 in the first round with an even-par 71 in the second round. He scored five birdies and 23 pars on his scorecard. 

Sophomore Kolin McKee (Sunbury, Ohio) was third on the team and tied for 20th place overall as the individual. McKee shot two identical rounds of 76 for a 152 (+10) with three birdies and 22 pars. 

Junior Tyler Andersen (Columbiana, Ohio) ended the event one stroke behind McKee with a 153 (+11), tied for 22nd place. Andersen started the weekend with a 77 before shaving a stroke off for a 76 on Sunday. He led all players with 25 pars for the tournament. 

Sophomore Bryce Cobb (Anna, Ohio) ended his tournament with a 159 (+17). Cobb gained three strokes from his first round 81 to get to 78 in the second round. 

Sophomore Nash Linder (Grove City, Ohio) started with an 86 in the first round and shot a 3-over 74 in the second round, equaling a 36-hole total of 160. He was tied with his teammate McKee with 22 pars. 

The Panthers will resume in the Spring with their 2024 schedule.
