NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team took a trip to the Music City to face the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene for the second time this season. Early offense from the Trojans pushed them past the Panthers for a 5-2 victory.
The Black and Gold came out strong in the opening minutes, firing off four shots, two from
Brenton Molli (Gahanna, Ohio). Trevecca connec ted with the back of the net first in the 10
th minute, taking a 1-0 lead. Senior
Cory Pulles (Pickerington, Ohio) collected his first two saves of the day 10 minutes later.
In the 30
th minute, TNU went up 2-0. Before the intermission, the Trojans added another score to hold a 3-0 lead over the Panthers going into the half.
Trevecca opened the second half with two more scores, making it 5-0 in the 60
th minute. A minute later,
Mubelele Mhango (Blantyre, Malawi) finds the back of the net off a double assist from
Jayden Williams (Springboro, Ohio) and
Jacob Gruber (Canal Winchester, Ohio), making it 5-1. Pulles grabbed two more saves before
Evan Reppeto (South Lebanon, Ohio) added his first collegiate goal to push it to 5-2.
The Panthers never saw another opportunity, falling 5-2 on the road.
