Box Score UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team competed against Saginaw Valley on Sunday, Sept. 4 at Braddock Field.
The Panther's offense came out strong registering back-to-back shots from Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) and Morgan Kirk (Findlay, Ohio) forcing the Cardinals goalkeeper to work for two saves.
Saginaw Valley answered with five shots before tallying a goal from Kylie Lukowski in the 11th minute. Leading up to halftime, Avery Rice (Lima, Ohio) gave her best effort with a shot on goal in the 35th minute but goalkeeper Lainey Garbarz was there for the save.
The Black and Gold rallied in the second half producing shots from Meghan Coakley (Sylvania, Ohio) and Kailyn Ciboroswki (Oregon, Ohio). SVSU tried to extend their lead, but junior goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) was a brick wall between the post. McNerney collected a career-high of 13 saves in the match.
With a final effort shot from Ciboroswki in the 70th minute, the Panthers fell to Saginaw Valley 1-0.

The Black and Gold will continue on the road as they begin conference play at Lake Erie on Thursday, Sept. 8 with a 5 PM kickoff.
