Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio – On Tuesday afternoon, the Panthers traveled to Tiffin, Ohio for their first of four road games in a row. After a hard-fought 90 minutes, the Black and Gold lost to the Dragons 3-2.
Freshman Kailyn Ciborowski (Oregon, Ohio) fired off the first shot in the 4th minute, forcing Tiffin keeper Andrea Parker to collect her first save. The Dragons opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Kaelyn Harkness connected with Ryan Kunkle
TU scored again in the 11th minute; this time Harkness assisted teammate Kristen Dickison to go up 2-0. Senior's Avery Rice (Lima, Ohio) and Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) tallied several shots before the break, trying to put the Panthers on the board but fell short.
After halftime, both Ciborowski and Nyah Daniels (Norwalk, Ohio) tried to reach the back of the net in the 54th minute but Parker was there for the saves. In the 64th minute, Devin Schoenberger (Redondo Beach, Cali.) laced a cross to Ciborowski to cut the Black and Gold deficit 2-1.
In the 72nd minute, Tiffin extended their lead 3-1 when Kunkle collected her second assist of the night after pairing with Autumn Schweitzer. ODU was awarded a penalty kick in the 79th minute that Schoenberger converted, bringing the score 3-2.
In a last-ditch effort for a draw, Makenna Greer (Pickerington, Ohio) fired off a shot missing left of the goal. ODU fell to Tiffin, 3-2.
