COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team returns home to Sunbury Road for two conference clashes with Great Midwest newcomer Northwood on Thursday (Dec. 8) and Hillsdale on Saturday.
The Black and Gold sit at an overall mark of 2-5 and 0-2 in the G-MAC after dropping contests to the Cavaliers of Walsh (66-41) and the Arrows of Ursuline (65-54) on the opening weekend of conference play.
Opening Tip-Off
- On Saturday afternoon, freshman Logan Pride (Twinsburg, Ohio) snagged her first career double-double after collecting 10 points and 11 rebounds.
 
- Junior Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) added another double-figure performance after tallying 20 points against Walsh. Stare has collected double-figures in six of the seven games this season thus far.
 
- Guard Macy Chapman (Hilliard, Ohio) led the team in Pepper Pike, Ohio with 13 points. The freshman snagged four rebounds and three steals in the contest.
 
- Fellow teammate Madelyn Fearon (Greenville, Ohio) collected a career-high of eight rebounds and five assists Thursday evening.
 
About Northwood
- The Timberwolves are 2-6 overall with a conference mark of 0-2 with losses to Trevecca and Kentucky Wesleyan last weekend.
 
- Makenzie Todd and Maddie Voelker lead the way for Northwood averaging 14.3 PPG and 10.0 PPG through their eight games.
 
- Junior guard, Maizie Taylor is first in the Great Midwest with 32 total assists on the season thus far.
 
- NU is shooting 37.6 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from behind the arc.
 
About Hillsdale
- The Chargers sit at a 4-4 overall mark with a 1-1 record in the G-MAC after falling to Cedarville by six, but defeating Trevecca 70-55 on Saturday afternoon.
 
- Three Hillsdale players are averaging double-figure points in the 2022-23 campaign: Grace Touchette (15.5), Caitlin Splain (13.1), and Sydney Mills (12.5).
 
- Mills is first in the conference with a total of five double-doubles on the season.
 
- HC leads the conference with an average of 3.3 blocks per game. Center, Ashley Konkle, is ranked first with an average of 1.29 blocks per game and a total of nine.
 
On Thursday evening, tip-off is set for 5:30 pm from Alumni hall. On Saturday, the game is set to begin at 1:00 pm.
