COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Black and Gold open conference play on the road with Walsh University on Thursday (Dec. 1) and Ursuline College on Saturday (Dec. 3).
The Panthers improve to 2-3 in the 2022-23 campaign after defeating Maryville (Mo.) 72-70 at home and falling to Indiana (Pa.) 79-61 on the road last week.
Opening Tip-Off
- Junior Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) was recognized as G-MAC Player of the Week after notching 34 points against the Saints and tying a career-high 37 points against the Hawks. Stare leads the conference and is ranked third nationally averaging 26.4 PPG.
 
- Freshman Trinity Ramos (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and Macy Chapman (Hilliard, Ohio) both added 10 points in the win on Monday night.
 
- Guard Camryn Pickerill (Seaman, Ohio) grabbed a career-high eight assists against MU and averages 3.4 assists per game, leading the team.
 
- As a team, ODU is shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 42.0 percent from behind the arc.
 
About Walsh
- The Cavaliers are 2-3 this season under newly appointed head coach Mark Schwitzgable.
 
- Three players average double-figure points with Morgan McMillen leading the way with 19.0. Following her is Abby Hickey averaging 17.0 PPG and Lexie Scarton with 10.6 PPG.
 
- WU is shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from deep.
 
About Ursuline
- The Arrows are 3-3 before beginning G-MAC play at Lake Erie College on Thursday evening.
 
- Senior Alyssa Evans averages 18.5 PPG after notching 21 and 18 point performances last week.
 
- UC is shooting 34.5 percent from the field and 22.4 percent from the three-point line.
 
Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM from North Canton, Ohio on Thursday, followed by a 2:00 PM start time on Saturday from the Jane and Lee Seidman Gymnasium.
