Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team hosted the Cavaliers in a must-win match for the Panthers and they did just that.
Senior Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) opened the match with the first shot in the 4th minute. Walsh's keeper collected her first save off the shot. The Cavs followed up with back-to-back shots in the 12th minute, giving goalkeeper Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) her first two saves.
Forward Ryanne Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) fired off her second shot of the contest in the 31st minute but missed the mark, leaving the match scoreless at the break.
The Black and Gold started the second half with a quick goal in the 54th minute. Celia Scott (Beavercreek, Ohio) laced a cross to Kailyn Ciborowski (Oregon, Ohio) to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
In less than a minute, Nyah Daniels (Norwalk, Ohio) extended ODU's lead to 2-0 after connecting with Devin Schoenberger (Redondo Beach, Cali.).
Grady grabbed three more saves before Walsh's Taylor Tomlinson paired with Krista Prasek in the 79th minute. Grady snagged two more saves to leave Ohio Dominican on top, 2-1.
