Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – After honoring their seniors, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team battled for a 2-0 win over Ursuline.
Nyah Daniels (Norwalk, Ohio) opened the contest with a shot in the 6th minute. Ursuline returned fire in the 10th minute with back-to-back shots, forcing keeper Kaitlin Grady (Twinsburg, Ohio) to gather consecutive saves.
Senior Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) applied pressure to the Arrows' backline, making Ursuline's goalkeeper to work for a save in the 21st minute.
The Black and Gold were on the board first when Ashley Story (Canfield, Ohio) sent a cross to Kailyn Ciborowski (Oregon, Ohio) in the 41st minute, leaving the Panthers on top going into the break.
The second half began with a solo goal in the 50th minute from Daniels to extend ODU's lead to 2-0.
Ursuline retaliated with two shots in the 51st minute, allowing Grady to pick up two more saves.
In the 78th minute, Ryanne Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) tried to grow Ohio Dominican's lead but got blocked. In the 85th minute, Grady collected another save to keep Ursuline scoreless. Grady notched a career-high nine saves in the match.
