Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team fell at home to Hillsdale College by the score of 64-42 on Thursday evening. Gabby Stare (Newark, Ohio) once again paced the Panthers leading the Black and Gold with 15 points.
Senior Bailey Williams (Dublin, Ohio) finished two rebounds shy of grabbing her seventh double-double of the season. The fourth year forward tallied 10 points and grabbed eight boards.
Stare led the Black and Gold with a strong start, tallying seven points from the field in the opening quarter. She was 3-of-4 from the field and perfect from beyond the arc as the Panthers finished level with Hillsdale at the end of the first quarter.
The Chargers gained ground on the Black and Gold and took a six-point lead into the locker room at the break. Guard Caitlin Splain tallied six of her 13 points during the second period to give the visitors a 31-25 lead at the break.
A slow shooting spell out of the halftime break proved costly as the Panthers couldn't answer a 57% shooting performance from the visitors in the final quarter which proved costly as the Black and Gold fell 64-42.
