Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican women's soccer saw its two-match unbeaten streak snapped on Sunday afternoon as the Black and Gold fell in overtime against Lake Erie College.
ODU turned in a strong performance on the stat sheet, outshooting the hosts 15-8. Junior Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) and senior Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) paced the Panthers with four shots each (two on target).
Myers had two quality opportunities in the contest. First, near the end of regulation time. The junior dribbled into the final third before unleashing a shot and forcing a save from Storm goalkeeper Megan Biddell. The third-year Panther would nearly tally the game-winning goal in overtime but was denied once more by Biddell.
Lake Erie claimed victory in the dying moments of the first overtime when Haley Scherer found the back of the net to give the hosts the 1-0 win.
