Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio – For the first time since October 2015, the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team hit the road to battle Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. Saturday's contest also marked the Black and Gold's first road contest in conference play this season.
The Panthers wasted no time trying to find the back of the net. Senior Jenna Szabo (Worthington, Ohio) fired the opening salvo as her shot forced a save from Cavaliers goalkeeper Romina Parraguez.
Just 37 seconds later Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) tallied the opening goal of the contest to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage.
Walsh attempted to respond as defender Taylor Tomlinson earned a scoring opportunity in the ninth minute but was denied by sophomore goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio). The Panther backstop finished the day with four saves to her credit.
One minute out of the halftime break Walsh equalized as midfielder Maddie Malinowski leveled the score, beating McNerney and the Panther defense to tie the game at 1-1. Both teams had opportunities to pull ahead during the second half of the contest, but overtime was needed for a winner to be decided.
Tomlinson tried to give the Cavaliers the win but was denied by McNerney in the 100th minute to force a second overtime. The Black and Gold looked to have won the match in the 102nd minute as Buck appeared to have tallied her second goal of the contest but a late offside flag nullified the scoring opportunity.
Neither team could find the go-ahead goal as the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Panthers come back home to welcome Ashland University to Sunbury Road. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 PM.
