Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn – For the second time in three games the Ohio Dominican women's soccer team claims a share of the points finishing with a 0-0 draw against Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday afternoon.
The Black and Gold enjoyed an advantage in shots, outgunning the Trojans 18-13 during the contest. Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) paced the Panthers in shots, launching six toward the goal. Sophomore Morgan Kirk (Findlay, Ohio) was next best with three attempts on the TNU goalkeeper Delayna Holman.
Kirk logged the first shot on target for the visitors in the 10th minute of action, forcing Delayna Holman to make her first save of the contest. Myers followed with another shot in the 24th minute as ODU pressed in search of their first goal on the afternoon.
The best chance for the Black and Gold came in the 28th minute when a shot by Katlyn Jamiel (Wilmington, Ohio) forced the Trojans to clear the ball off the line and keep the game deadlocked at 0-0.
Myers continued to harass Holman as she unleashed a pair of shots just after the intermission. Despite the heavy advantage in shots, the Panthers couldn't claim a goal and overtime was needed to find a winner.
Both teams battled but goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) would face the only shot of the overtime period, making one of her four saves of the afternoon to preserve the clean sheet and a share of the points for her squad.
