Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican women's soccer honored five members of its senior class during a pregame ceremony prior to its contest against Tiffin University on Saturday afternoon.
Goalkeeper Alivia Tavernier (Bellbrook, Ohio), midfielders Erika Stauble (Hamilton, Ohio), Karissa Weekley (Zanesville, Ohio), and Lindsay Buten (Cincinnati, Ohio), along with forward Samantha Buck (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) were honored during Saturday's pregame ceremony.
The Black and Gold tallied its first goal in the opening five minutes. Forward Callan Myers (Hillsboro, Ohio) collected her fifth goal of the season as midfielder Emily Wittekind (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the forward with a through-ball that found its way behind the TU backline. Myers took the shot and tucked it firmly into the back of the net for the 1-0 advantage.
Tiffin mounted a comeback during the second half, scoring two goals to lift them to a 2-1 victory.
UP NEXT
Despite the loss, the Black and Gold remain at the top of the G-MAC standings as they maintain a one-point advantage on Malone University. ODU also enjoys a two-point advantage over third-place Walsh.
The Panthers welcome both teams to Sunbury Road as the regular season concludes next weekend. Kickoff against the Cavaliers is scheduled for 7 PM Thursday.
